Why an outdoor tub?
We know that generally most people look for accommodation with a hot tub these days – so why did we choose to install an outdoor tub instead?
Firstly, all our decisions here are based on how we can be the most eco friendly in providing unique experiences for our guests.
- Hot tubs are expensive to run, and use a lot of water (especially as they have to be emptied and refilled between guests) so not very environmentally friendly at all.
- Our outdoor tub supplies hot water from a tankless system, so only heating water when using it. The most efficient water heating solution currently available.
- It uses a much smaller volume of water vs a 4-person hot tub which uses 5 times the volume typically. So, better for the environment and lower demand on our aquifer.
- We provide eco-friendly bubblebath, so the drained water has no chemicals in it – so we re-use it for plants and flowerbeds around the site.
Guest satisfaction is too important for us to risk not meeting (and hopefully exceeding) your expectations
- Hot tubs can go wrong, and if you’ve booked a holiday expecting a hot tub, but aren’t able to use it, it can really put a downer on your holiday, even if everything else is perfect! (trust us, we’ve been there)
We don’t like risking the experience of our guests in the hands of fate!
WITH OUR OUTDOOR TUB:
- You are guaranteed fresh clean water every time
- You are literally bathing in Cornish spring water! We have no storage tanks here, so water is a direct supply from our aquifer which feeds our well 8 metres below ground level, and 18 metres below Dreckly cabin.
- It takes just 15 minutes to fill, whenever you are ready.
- No need to plan ahead as with wood fired hot tubs, and then try and maintain the temperature / keep the fire going while you’re trying to relax
- With a hot and cold tap, your water temperature is fully controllable on demand to suit you.
- You can also use the tub for a COLD plunge if you prefer. Water from our aquifer leaves the ground at constant 12⁰C. For most people 12⁰C is sufficiently Brrrrr!
