A little bit about Lydcott...
We’re the Liddle family, and we’d like to welcome you to our little slice of paradise.
We moved to Lydcott Farm in South East Cornwall in 2015 with 3 young children and a dog. We now have 3 slightly older children, 4 dogs and countless chickens – and our little glamping business. All of which keep us busy but happy.
After 4 years of hard grafting to renovate our farmhouse and create our beautiful glamping site out of a field of brambles, we opened Lydcott Glamping in February 2019 with 2 cabins (The Pasty and Prosecco), and added The Pilchard cabin in November 2019 – before COVID struck and we had to close. That was a huge blow – but in the short time we’d been open things had been going really well and we’d been getting fantastic reviews – and we decided that this is what we want to do for our future – build the business to allow us to have the quality family time we moved to Cornwall for in the first place.
So here we are – now with 7 cabins and both of us working full time on Lydcott Glamping since March 2022, with help from the kids during school holidays. We truly appreciate the beautiful place we live in, and just love sharing it with our guests.
As we’ve grown, we’ve tried to consider our impact on the environment and the wildlife around us in every decision we’ve made. That’s why when you visit Lydcott Glamping you can expect eco-friendly touches, filtered Cornish spring water from your taps (we reinstated an old well to supply all our water), low exterior lighting (to preserve the magnificence of our dark skies), natural hedgerows and wildlife friendly planting, and now even our very own EV Charger for guests with electric vehicles.
We hope you will love our little slice of paradise as much as we do.
Hope to welcome you soon!
