1. CHECK IN
Check in is from 3pm. We would be really grateful if you could let us know at your earliest convenience your estimated time of arrival so we can arrange to meet you. If an earlier check in is required, please contact us directly in advance of your visit and we will do our best to accommodate.
You will find your keys in a key safe located on the edge of the decking to your cabin – and we will email you the code at least 24 hours before you are due to arrive, so you’ll be able to let yourself in and make yourself at home!
2. CHECK OUT
Check out is by 10.30 am. Please return your key to the key safe and leave the cabin clean and tidy as you found it. Once the cabin has been checked and all okay, we will refund your security deposit to your card.
3. BOOKINGS & PAYMENT
Lydcott Glamping only handles bookings from persons over 18 years of age. We reserve the right at all times to refuse a booking.
The rates for each cabin are based on occupancy of 2 people. In our larger cabin, ‘The Pasty’, you may wish to bring your children with you and there is a surcharge of £5 per night per child in order to cover overhead costs associated with additional occupants, including additional bedding and towels etc.
We have a minimum booking policy of 3 nights and our changeover days are Mondays and Fridays during peak season. This isn’t to be difficult – it’s just so that we can manage turnaround times for bookings and ensure everything is perfect for every guest.
Bookings can be made online and the rental contract including the regulations regarding cancellation are applicable as soon as payment has been received. Lydcott Glamping Ltd will confirm the booking via e-mail at the time of booking. The confirmation must be checked immediately on receipt for any errors. Possible or claimed inadequacies must always be notified by email or phone within 10 days following the date of the confirmation and in any case before the start of the stay. If within 10 days after the booking, you are not in possession of a confirmation, then please get in touch with Lydcott Glamping Ltd.
Lydcott Glamping reserves the right to rebook a competition winner: Lydcott Glamping will offer an alternative date for the re-booking, but the competition winner will not be entitled to any compensation.
When booking online, you will pay the price of your stay plus a £100 security deposit, which will be refundable when you checkout.
4. SECURITY DEPOSIT
Guests will be required to pay a security deposit of £100 per cabin at the time of booking, in addition to the accommodation price. This deposit will be refunded in full at the end of your stay unless, in the opinion of the Site Manager, you have displayed unreasonable behaviour (this includes but is not limited to, wilful damage to the site or other people’s property and abuse of our staff, or excessive noise.)
We hope you understand that this is a peaceful spot, and it is important for our neighbours and other guests that the peace and the magic of the site is maintained.
Should any members of staff/site managers be called out to such nuisances, £40 of the security deposit will be retained for each call out. Any wilful damage to the cabins, contents or grounds we will regrettably need to deduct the cost of repairs or replacements from your security deposit.
Guests are required to clean their cabin before departure, and are expected to leave them in the condition they found them on arrival.
Dishes should be washed, dried and put away. Bed linen should be stripped and placed on top of the bed. Toilets and shower should be clean and as you found them. Floors should be swept and clean, bins emptied and rubbish removed from site. Dustbins will be provided near the car parking area for disposal of any waste. Please ensure any recycling is in the appropriate bins.
Basic cleaning products and equipment will be provided.
If you leave your cabin in an improper condition, and the Site Manager deems it not to meet the required standards of cleanliness, you will be liable for an additional fee of £40 which will be taken from your security deposit.
6. COST OF LOSS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT
Please be respectful to all equipment. Guests are liable for any costs incurred due to loss of or damage to equipment or the cabins themselves. Guests will be charged for the cost of repair or replacement of damaged items, post stay.
Following guest departure all equipment (including the cabin itself) will be checked and examined and any damages incurred will be charged to the person responsible for booking the stay. Failure to make payment will result in further action taken.
Equipment instructions are provided in the welcome pack within the cabin, and should be carefully followed.
Loud noise and nuisance will not be tolerated and guests must be respectful to other guests on the site. Guests who are deemed to be causing a nuisance can be be liable for loss of deposit money and/or ejected from the site.
We love animals, but if you would like to bring your dog, please contact us before booking, as our cabins are not suitable for all types of dog. A maximum of one small well behaved dog is permitted in our larger cabin (The Pasty) – so long as you can guarantee they won’t chew or scratch – and that they will sleep in their own bed – not on yours! We hope you understand that this is in the interests of future guests also.
As we are situated next to a working farm, dogs must be kept under control and on a lead or tether at all times during your stay. Lydcott Glamping can provide a tether if you have booked and paid to bring your dog. Dogs must sleep on the floor and must not be allowed on the beds or furniture.
You must book your dog at the time of booking your stay. There is a surcharge of £5 applicable per dog per night.
Dog owners are responsible for ensuring that any dog fouling is picked up immediately and disposed of. It is not acceptable to dispose of dog mess in the cabin bins.
Any damage caused by your dog either to the cabin, it’s contents, or to any part of Lydcott Glamping site or property will be chargeable to the person responsible for booking the stay.
Fire Pit / Barbecue – If using your fire pit / barbecue during your stay, please adhere to fire safety. Do not overload the fire pit or light any fire near the decking. Any damage caused by misuse will be chargeable.
- Prosecco must not exceed 2 adults
- The Pasty must not exceed 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children.
We reserve the right to refuse occupancy if the numbers exceed this. The booking will then be deemed cancelled with full loss of payment.
In no event will Lydcott Glamping Ltd be liable or held responsible for any injuries caused as a result of our facilities or products. Axes, fires and knives should be used by a responsible adult only.
11. CANCELLATION POLICY
Please inform us immediately by telephone and then in writing if you need to make a cancellation, whereupon we will, without prejudice to our right to retain the full rental payment, make every effort to re-let the hut and refund your money, less a £30 administration charge. You will be liable for the rent in full if we cannot re-let the cabin.
The prices on www.lydcottglampingcornwall.co.uk are not binding; Lydcott Glamping Ltd reserves the right to modify these prices. At the time of booking, you will be informed of the prices applicable. The price stated on the confirmation is binding unless there is an obvious error. Discounts and/or special offers can no longer be used after the confirmation has been sent by Lydcott Glamping Ltd. Lydcott Glamping Ltd reserves the right to refuse bookings which have obviously wrong prices.
We truly hope that your stay with us will be exceptional. We are a new business and as such welcome any feedback, good or bad so that we can ensure that we continually improve the experience we are offering to our guests.
However, we accept that it may occur that you have a genuine complaint. We ask that you let us know immediately if there is anything that you are not 100% happy with, in order to allow us to solve the matter as soon as possible. Should the matter not be settled to your satisfaction, then you have the option, up to 1 month after departure from Lydcott Glamping to lodge the complaint in writing or by email to Lydcott Glamping Ltd.
14. ASSUMPTION OF RISKS
Remember that you will be staying next to a working farm with live animals and potentially dangerous farm equipment among other hazards. Also you must be aware that some of the equipment (such as the fire pit / barbecue) may be dangerous if misused. Whilst we take great care to keep you safe, accidents can happen and we will not be held responsible for such accidents (to the greatest extent permitted by law). It is your responsibility to supervise any children. If you notice that any equipment looks faulty and/or unsafe you must inform us as soon as possible. We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance against the risk of accidents and your stay being cut short due to unforeseen circumstances.
